Delete your account

Option 1 - Delete from the game (recommended)

Deletion is immediate.

1. Open Friction Racing.
2. Open Settings (gear icon).
3. Tap MY ACCOUNT (shown as SECURE MY PROGRESS on guest accounts).
4. Tap Delete Account and confirm twice.

The game then restarts with a new, empty guest account.

Option 2 - Request deletion by email

Use this option if you cannot delete your account from the game.

1. Send an email to contact@squaremod.com with the subject Friction Racing - Account deletion request.
2. Include your Player ID. In the game: Settings > MY ACCOUNT (or SECURE MY PROGRESS on guest accounts) > Copy Player ID.
3. If you cannot access the game, include your nickname and player code exactly as shown on the leaderboards (for example Racer42#AB3CDE).

We process requests within 30 days and confirm by email once your account is deleted. We may ask for additional information to make sure the request comes from the account owner.

If you played as a guest, uninstalled the game and never submitted a race time to a leaderboard, your account is not associated with any information that would allow us to find it.

Data that is deleted

• Your game account (Player ID) and its sign-in link (guest session or link to your Unity account)
• Your nickname and player code
• Your saved progression: tracks, cups, vehicles and upgrades
• Your coins, gems and energy
• Your daily challenges progress
• Your friends list
• Your race times and leaderboard entries
• Game data stored on your device (when deleting from the game)

Data that is not deleted

• Purchases. Purchases are managed by your app store (Google Play) and stay attached to your store account. No Ads and VIP can be recovered with Restore Purchases in the game. We never receive or store your payment details.
• Your Unity account. If you linked a Unity account, that account belongs to Unity Technologies and is not deleted with your game account. You can manage or delete it at player-account.unity.com.
• Other players' friends lists. Players who added you as a friend may still see the nickname and player code they saved.
• Advertising data. Data collected by our advertising partners is governed by their own privacy policies (see our Privacy Policy). You can reset your advertising ID in your device settings.
• Backups. Residual copies may remain in our service providers' backups for a limited period before being erased.
• Email requests. If you contact us by email, we keep the exchange only as long as needed to handle your request.
